  No, Shmuck, you weren’t arrested for taking photos of police. Photographers do that every day all over the country without being arrested.
  You got arrested for not getting out of the street after being told to do so numerous times. That is what you got arrested for.
  But, obviously, the police, prosecutor, and judge all have nothing better to do than conspire against you.
  Please tell me how to contribute to your defense fund. I would love to send you some of my money.

  I love how you suggest the charge of conspiracy, even though that’s never been an argued point. Additionally, if the you were the judge then no conspiracy would be needed- someone “as smart as you” would have a similar snap-judgment that the cops must be right.

  Your attitude is the perfect example of the “wheels of justice.”

  all you jackasses that condone this SHIT, you think your on the top of the pile, well let them even get a hint of you thinking otherwize, and they will also stomp your ass, i seen it happen, this shit affects all of, even those that are in law enforcement…etc. and yes even the judges, no matter who you are, life will come back and bite you in the ASS!

  Journalist? You consider yourself a journalist?

  Reporting on one side of an issue and ridiculing people you don’t agree with simply because you lack the linguistic capacity to fully understand what they are saying is far from journalism.

  Separate the facts from what you misrepresent as facts. Personally,

  I believe the only reason you are in the blogging “business” isn’t because you don’t get paid to write and you don’t get censored. It is because no one would ever pay you for your misconstrued stories.

  You sound like a Michael Moore wannabe simply because you have failed not only in journalism, but in life.

  On May 8th 2008 I was accused of taking pictures of people at the Haines City Aquatic Center in Haines City Florida. I was told that their numerous people had complained I was taking their picture. This day I had taken 7 photo’s 3 of clouds in one minute 2 of my son and two of a friend across the pool at the snack bar. I was told by the pool head that he is going to have to me to put it away. I look up and ask put what away. He says the camera. I ask and what if I don’t ? He says he is done with it and goes and calls the park and rec director whom contacts the Haines City Police Department. Turns out not multiple people complained it was one wife of a Fire Fighter who knew the Supervising Officer of the Police Department. So a year before I was told I could only take pictures of my child at the pool no other people. So I write to city hall and ask to speak with the park and recreations director. I put the photographers rights on his desk and he proceeds to back up his staff with I am only allowed to take pictures of my child. So here we are again. I ask with video rolling what I did this time being somewhat sarcastic. Meaning what am I being accused of this time. I am informed that “people are complaining I am taking pictures of their kids again” I am thinking again? You were have an issue with your lifeguards getting in the photo’s last year how did this become about “kids” now? So I say pictures of their kids? making it very clear the accusations being made about me this time. The responding officer demanded my name and birth date. Which was not a big deal but I asked her what she needed it for where I was told that she was conducting an investigation and I am obstructing her investigation and if I did not give her my information I would be going to jail. I had taken 3 photo’s of clouds in one minute 2 of my son and two of my friend in what was under 5 minutes. The video shows the director clearly convinced I am guilty of taking pics of this Fire Fighters wife’s child. I did not know all this till the end. He says I cannot take pictures of anyone at this pool but your own child. I guess if you do not have a child you cannot take pictures at all. I was told you will not be taking pictures of anyone other than your own child at this pool. I ask him do you know how improbable that is when there is 200 people in the pool? I get a laugh and a well out of him. Then it turns into “its not about the camera anymore it is about you making people uncomfortable” so I ask why I am being targeted and the director tells me he does not know I would have to ask the people who are complaining. I say they are not coming to me they are coming to you. HE also points out that He does not want to target me but this is how they handle complaints. My batteries went dead so I missed the tale end of this half hour exchange where I am asked by the Supervising officer if I had a child at the pool. What that had to do with anything was puzzling. I did not deny or confirm taking picture of the complaining Fire Fighters wife however for the record I did not on that day or any other day take a photo of her or her child not once. I was not going to let this golden gem go tho I wanted to see how far they would take the accusations. I was amazed they did not ask to see my card tho the responding officer did ask me what I was taking pictures of and I told her I take pictures of everything.and at the tail end of this informed her that if that woman was the one complaining she just lied I did not take a picture of her or her child. When the responding officer arrived I told her I was video recording and she said o.k. did not seem to bother them at all.I wish I had it all because at the very end when I ask the director if he would post the photographers rights if I went to the car to get them he agreed to and when I returned the Supervising officer who rides dirt bikes with him advised him not to post them as the author was out of Oregon thus he asked me to give him the Florida version which I looked for and found none. as seen in the below letter. The Supervising officer suggest when I am told to do something that I just do it from now on. soon as I placed my camera in my case up comes the Fire Fighters wife with child on her hip and tells me ” you better hope I never see your camera” I lean into her and say “excuse me ma’am are you threatening me?” right in front of the director and 3 officers. The Supervising officer then tells her ” not in front of police” I am thinking if she was not in front of police it would be alright? She then turns to him and points and me and says ” my husband would love to talk to him to” and drops his name and hands the phone to the Sup. Off. and they had a lovely chat on her cell phone. I would be happy to share the 3 video segments if you would like them let me know. here is the letter I sent via the city website. Would love to get a photographers rights rally going at the pool.This is the only place I have ever been bothered with my camera.

  This Is William Lewis,
  As requested I did look up the Florida Version of the Photographers
  rights That I have offered to the Park and Recreation Director twice
  now. Mr. Kelly was advised that he did not post the Photographers Rights
  that he was kind enough to agree to do for me after being advised by the
  Supervising Officer at the Aquatic Center on Sat. 5/8/2010. Every avenue
  I pursued directs me back to what myself and thousands of other shutter
  bugs carry with them the Photographers rights. So I am going to post the
  link to the actual PDF. format for download since there was questions
  about the Author being based out of Oregon. The Photographers Rights
  cover all 50 states.tho I did call the Bartow court house to verify as
  promised that their were in deed no other version of the Photographers
  rights. I contact my lawyer to double check to make sure there is not
  another version floating about out there. So as promised here is the
  link to pass along to Mr. Kelly (Park and recreations Director)

  This will explain what it is exactly and why I needed to leave Mr. Bert
  P. Krages II name on the document. It is his work thus he deserves his
  credit. Feel free to verify that it is in fact valid. As I understand it
  Federal Law Trumps State Law. Further documentation from the ACLU is
  available. I did find it interesting that in N.Y. as I was researching
  for Mr. Kelly is that N.Y. is considering passing a law that would
  require people to carry insurance and buy permits to even set up a
  tripod for ten minutes including the time to set up the tripod. I do
  hope you find my efforts informative and hope to see the Photographers
  Rights posted at the pool in all fairness to all Photographers young and
  old.
