I look at that asshole’s smug profile photo on his worthless blog and I wonder, do all of his co-workers hate him or just most of them?
Does he go home at night and fuck his wife or husband and tell them, “UNGH, I GOT A GUY FIRED TODAY. UNGH. TAKE IT BITCH. IM A VERY POWERFUL MAN. TAKE MY POWERFUL CAREER ENDING ROD.”
I hope the guy comes forward, he should not be afraid to tell the truth. What he did was not a big deal, he should be suing this newspaper and getting his story out there instead of hiding.
STLtoday seems like some podunk newspaper. I thought Saint Louis metro area had like 3 million people, how could such a low quality newspaper be serving such a large number of people?
“Oh yeah, they’ve also turned off comments for this particular story.”
They (The Post-Dispatch) also turned off the comments on Greenbaum’s last article, and I was the reason why.
Was I vulgar? Was I threatening? Nope. I offered the man a solution.
I simply suggested that he find the man, apologize, then do whatever he could to help the guy get his job back. My reasoning?
I said in my post that people had committed suicide over far less important things then losing a job and that Greenbaum really didn’t want the man’s blood on his hands.
I also suggested that he did not need any permission from anyone, his boss, his lawyer, nobody, to do so.
My post went up and less then 5 mins. later it was deleted and the comments section locked. It was the last post to make up.
I guess my suggesting he didn’t need to consult his boss is what got the post deleted. I don’t think Greenbaum is even in the loop anymore. It is all Mr. Rose at this point.
So, now they are deleting posts simply because somebody doesn’t agree with them.
I was VERY careful to word my post so as not to offend–and it still gets deleted. And the comments section locked after more then 400 posts. Did I hit a nerve Mr. Rose?
I agree, it’s a real podunk newspaper. Apparently the holding company is bleeding cash and firing staff left, right and centre. Guess you can see why when you know the rubbish they put out and their “journalistic” standards. Maybe they’re worried that firing Greenbaum may be seen as an admission of guilt and their lawyers have told them not to. Great policy guys. Instead of doing the right thing, trying to get a job back for the guy who was fired and avoiding a massive lawsuit (there must be hundreds of lawyers out there who’d take this on contingency) they’ll dig their heels in and destroy the long-term viability of their business. Not surprising they’re losing money. Who’d invest anything in this bunch of clowns?
Blogging is passe because Twitter makes it so much easier to post random ramblings that no one cares about anyway. http://bit.ly/duKDGy1 day ago

My Story
My name is Carlos Miller and I am a multimedia journalist who was arrested by Miami police after taking photos of them against their wishes, a clear violation of my First Amendment rights.
Since that arrest on Feb. 20th, 2007, I've fought a lengthy battle against the State of Florida to prove my innocence. After going to trial in June 2008, I was acquitted of all charges except resisting arrest without violence. I appealed that conviction pro se, meaning I represented myself, and I won a reversal.
However, I am now fighting another arrest for photographing cops against their wishes. On Memorial Day Weekend 2008, I was arrested on Miami Beach on a single charge of resisting arrest without violence after I photographed a couple of cops against their wishes.

Their side of story
Police “escorted defendant to the middle of the street and told him to cross to the sidewalk. Defendant for the fourth time refused the verbal commands and that’s why he was arrested.” Read arrest report.
A legal view
The general rule in the United States is that anyone may take photographs of whatever they want when they are in a public place or places where they have permission to take photographs. Absent a specific legal prohibition such as a statute or ordinance, you are legally entitled to take photographs. Examples of places that are traditionally considered public are streets, sidewalks, and public parks.(more).
SPJ’s protest letter
National leaders of the largest journalism organization in the United States have expressed their disappointment in Miami-Dade County Court Judge Jose L. Fernandez for violating my First Amendment rights.
Fernandez, as I mentioned in a previous post, gave me an extremely harsh sentence and criticized me for having blogged about my case.
Read the press release from the Society of Professional Journalists.
Sarcasm Disclaimer
I am a very sarcastic person in person. And I am probably even more sarcastic in my writing.
But if you’ve never met me, you might not see that sarcasm. After all, sarcasm depends on tone and delivery for pure effectiveness, something that is hard to do with the written word.
So if you are ever offended by something I write, whether you are a conservative, liberal, Catholic, Jew, atheist, American, foreigner, black, white, southerner, yankee, homosexual, straight or whatever, chances are, I am just being sarcastic.
Truth is, I am not a hater. I don’t even hate cops. I just want them to abide by the law.

Can you guys see the video in the post?
I embedded it but it doesn’t appear on my screen.
I can not.
I don’t know what to do. I embedded it like I do all the other videos. I’ve tried several different times but it still doesn’t show up.
It’s probably something with the coding, which I have no clue about.
But I linked to it, so people can still see it.
I cant embed it either.
I guess somebody greenbaumed-out at the station.
So… Bob Rose isn’t sure about racist postings, that’s a grey area, oh but profanity is always bad.
There’s something wrong with these people.

Heh… Marc Cox..
I hope the guy comes forward, he should not be afraid to tell the truth. What he did was not a big deal, he should be suing this newspaper and getting his story out there instead of hiding.
Bob Rose, that’s the guy I talked to on the phone (re: my earlier posting on the grennbaum/resign post)!
Yeah, he wasn’t very conciliatory and I got the impression they think this is much ado about nothing.
Just watched the video on the KMOV site.
Paraphrasing Bob Rose: Racism OK. Profanity? Absolutely not. Not on my watch.
