They will say their badge number and go on doing their job because they know that this identification is just as much a protection for them as it is for the people they are supposed to be policing/protecting, whatever it is they call it. Bullies are bullies no matter the colors they wear but they get so much more dangerous when they think they have some sanctioned right to their force.
