If a father does not like his kids being photographed he needs to take them to another place. I cannot abridge another person's constitutional rights just because my kids are involved. As I'd hoped, they returned with their father shortly thereafter wanting to know why I took their pictures. I explained the ruse and asked the father if they would clean up the glass. They all did so. Oddly enough, I’ve been able to turn this particular protective impulse to my advantage:
