Most people in public office cannot serve the public unless they are dependent on being paid with something the people produce be it gold, silver, corn, coal or whatever. The Constitution limits this payment to gold and silver coins, Art. 1, Sec.10. When we became dependent on paper printed in government offices, the roles of master and servant wre reversed. With all of us dependent on strips of paper that he furst users get for nothing, whose independence is celebrated annually on the FARCE of July? Well, shortly after Ronald Reagan’s first inauguration as president, he said “We must respect the independence of the Fed.” That’s what he said! We must respect the independence
of the bankers who get all of the paper first without working for it. Lincoln’s contemporary, Horace Greeley said Lincoln’s “iniquitous money system (in use today) is no less cruel than the old system of chatel slavery.” The sole function of legal tender is to lake labor and property without payment.
