I’ve since talked to a couple of the band members and it turns out a few of them did go to FAMU.

They will also be performing this Sunday at the Calle Ocho festival.

Now I’m a little more motivated to go to Calle Ocho.

Hi Carlos! It was nice bumping into you and a bunch of other twitter people.

I missed the street band so thanks for the video and the photos.

Yes, Palo! did a great show, around 4:30ish. I also heard Ed Calle, an amazing saxophonist. And as you know, Locos Por Juana were really fun. I think overall it was a superb music event — wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

That band was amazing. You did a great job of capturing the spirit of the band in the photos and article. Funny thing is I was qiking them from the side. I will have to admit some article bias since I am quoted.
