Yes, I know. The Cuban exile who “assaulted” me is old enough to be my father.
But that is exactly why he should know better.
I later learned Jose “McCarthy” Perez is a security guard for Versailles, which means they could be liable for this guy’s actions.
Anyway, here are a few photos. I’m still putting the video together. Once I am done, I will dedicate an entire post to why I regret buying an AVCHD video camera.

The guy in the white suit sure is a sharp dresser.

The guy in the white is a pure showman. I’ve taken so many photos of him because he is always at these types of gatherings.
I talked to him a few days earlier when he was at a Colombian rally. A very nice guy. Great sense of humor.
He doesn’t really mix with the extreme, intolerable Cuban exiles, which is why in this picture, he is actually across the street from Versailles, but still on the same side of the road.
And I know this is going to sound crazy, but the guy who confronted about being a communist on Saturday once told me - more than a year ago when I was at Versailles photographing something else - that the guy in the suit was a communist.
But the guy in the suit, I actually have his card around here somewhere, just laughs it off.

Update on the video: I’m hoping to have it posted by tomorrow, but that is not a guarantee.
I’m in the process of acquiring some photos that were taken by the El Nuevo Herald photographer of the incident.
They didn’t run in the newspaper, but he told me he got some good shots.
But because everything he shoots is property of the Herald, I have to through the process of ordering the photos through the Herald’s archive department.

Years ago there was an old lady that used to go to the Metro Justice Building and attend trials. She was a trip. I think she got to know most of the criminal trial attorneys, and public defenders. She was always on the side of the defense. I think she might have been a bag lady as she would sometimes smell of urine and and booze and wear the same clothes. I suppose she figured real life was a lot more entertaining than TV. It really is. This guy reminded me of her. . .
