Do you want to know why many law-abiding citizens hate cops?
Do you want to know why many law-abiding citizens fear cops?
Do you want to know why many law-abiding citizens view cops as freedom-stomping, rights-squashing rogue extensions of the government?
Just take a look at this video where a handcuffed Ohio woman, who was charged with “disorderly conduct” and “resisting arrest,” had her clothes ripped off by a gang of male and female deputies from the Stark County Sheriff’s Department.
Hope Steffey was left in her cell naked for six hours for “her own safety”.
She had to wrap herself in toilet paper to conceal her nakedness.
Her husband, Greg Steffey, said his wife felt as if she had been “raped without penetration”.
Deputy Richard Gurlea arrested Hope Steffey even though she was the victim in an assault incident.
Male deputies are forbidden to strip search female inmates, according to Stark County Sheriff’s departmental policy.
Stark County Sheriff Timothy Swanson denies his deputies did anything wrong.
The Steffeys are suing the Stark County Sheriff’s Department for violating her 4th, 8th and 14th Amendment rights.
A look at that video will show you those deputies deserve more than a civil lawsuit.
They deserve to be thrown in a prison cell and stripped naked by fellow inmates.

The real shocker is that the County Commission hasn’t sent this lying tub of lard packing. Hey, Sheriff Scumbag, we’ve seen the TAPES. We actually KNOW for a FACT that you had male deputies pinning down and helping strip the victim of a crime.

This is typical, this happens all the time in police stations all over the country. The police wonder way they are treated with no respect…well. Did you notice the two male police checking out her backside in the video…not only once but several time and just had to get there head down there. They should have never been in the room. This is why people hate the police and this is not the only or last time this has happend. It’s happend to me…

Oh my God this is so sick and twisted. I too was a victim of cops coming to my “aid,” although my experience wasn’t as bad as this poor woman’s. Cops have never helped me in my entire life and after my recent experience of them not only not helping me, but physically harming me, I would never call them to help me again unless I wanted to be abused. There’s just something wrong with their minds.

Wow…just wow.
What amazes me is not just that this happened.
But that this happened with a group of several people involved, and they had a camera running while they were doing this, AND THEN THEY HANDED IT OVER. Somebody involved should have said, “golly gee guys, we screwed up…this tape should get lost and fast.” Instead they kept the tape.
And their superior thinks nothing was done, but somehow there still needs to be an investigation…contradiction much?
Sheriffs are elected, they don’t go to a police academy, require any law enforcement experience, or require any specialized education before they are eligible for the office.
I’m so glad I live in West Virginia, and only pass through Ohio, visit Florida, and avoid California.

But try to understand that when we give someone power and they abuse it like this, something NEEDS to be done. It’s not liek this doesnt happen somehwere EVERYDAY. Go look up some of the shit cops do in “Hi crime” and “lower socioeconomical” places.
