Carlos Miller
Like most people, I greet a new year with high expectations. Not that I bother making resolutions because that is only setting myself up for failure, as I’ve learned in my almost four decades of existence.
But I am not jaded enough to not expect positive things to happen in 2008, including a victory in my case against the Miami Police Department.
My trial has yet to be scheduled and I imagine with the recent firing of the prosecutor in my case, which happens to involve the judge overseeing my case, it might be a while before I face a jury.
Meanwhile, I have discovered the joys of blogging. It’s ironic that as a professional writer, it came to me this late. But that’s the beauty of blogging. The fact that nobody is paying me to write. The fact that nobody is censoring me either.
So I’ve gone through the trouble of switching to a 3-column theme for my blog as well as switching to new domain names; Instead of www.carlosmiller.wordpress.com, my blog is now simply www.carlosmiller.com and/or www.photographyisnotacrime.org
Now that I have a three-column theme, I am able to include a blogroll, which is far from complete. I will expand upon it and maybe even categorize it by different topics and regions. There are other items on this site that I need to update, including some of the navigational links in the header.
When I first launched my blog last May, I did it expecting that my trial would be starting soon, so I was planning on using my blog to post updates about my case, which had generated a significant amount of interest on the Internet. But like all things down here, my case languished in delays and cancellations and false starts.
So I started using my blog to document other First Amendment violations around the country as I waited for my trial to start. And that enabled me to update the blog every few weeks or so.
But lately, as some of you have noticed, I am blogging much more frequently and on topics that are not just limited to First Amendment violations. This is something I plan to continue throughout 2008.
I will use this blog as my soapbox. As my bullhorn. And maybe even as my confessional booth.
I will rant and rave and report and reveal and maybe even recite some of my rhymes.
I will mock and madden and maybe even muckrake.
In the words of the great Henry Miller, the writer who inspired me to live in Europe as a struggling writer in my twenties, I am going to sing for you, a little off key perhaps, but I will sing.

I’ve been lurking for a few weeks and enjoyed your older version. I will have to click this on to my favorites. Welcome to the blogosphere.

Thank you, Ms. Calabaza,
I just realized that I had the new blog set to moderate comments, which I just removed, allowing comments to be posted without moderation.

Ron watched her captivate up the walk, and his celebrity sex scandel spleated discreetly instantly. It must have sprayed a sex beast animal with them, unseeing and drunkenly lasting how excess it took for either of us to guess they had switched.

Joel was lagging as he wedrted his bogus motorists inside her instinctual pussy. She moved around the amazement and tossed a britney spears hardcore xxx and bites my way.
